The Wayfinders Report

The Wayfinders Project has been commissioned and fully funded by the national Church of England Environment Programme, in order to inform how General Synod’s target of net zero carbon by 2030 can best be achieved. This report is to inform the approaches that Diocesan Boards of Education should consider and provide evidenced based data that can guide strategic decisions. The report also contains a number of policy recommendations that may help guide lobbying at a at national, diocesan, and local level.

The report is informed by detailed Net Zero Carbon Action Plans for 12 high-energy-use buildings, which included 3 secondary schools and 3 primary schools (as well as 4 large churches, one Theological Education Institution (TEI), and one diocesan office).
